Biography

Victoria Derbyshire is a BAFTA award-winning journalist, broadcaster and author. She spent sixteen years presenting on BBC Radio 5 Live winning five Sony gold awards. In 2015 she launched a new daily TV news and current affairs programme on BBC Two and BBC News which is the centrepiece of BBC News’ daytime schedule. Three months later she was diagnosed with breast cancer and shared her cancer treatment publicly by recording video diaries which have been viewed 17 million times. She won a BAFTA TV award last year (2017) for her interview with four former footballers who described the alleged sexual abuse they’d endured as boys.
