Having the vote now should never make us complacent to the injustices that continue to be aimed at women all over the world. We still have a lot of work to do.

A woman who has inspired me

“Ain't I a woman? Look at me! Look at my arm! I have ploughed and planted, and gathered into barns, and no man could head me! And ain't I a woman?” - Sojourner Truth

My thoughts on feminism and women’s suffrage

It seems ludicrous that our grandmothers and great-grandmothers had to fight for us to have the right to vote – a right that should be automatic to everyone. But having the vote now should never make us complacent to the injustices that continue to be aimed at women all over the world. We still have a lot of work to do.
